A night under the stars

As we are currently setting up a street food business we are slightly strapped for cash at the moment so we look for cheaper ways to turn our weekends into holidays. Money or no money, on a hot day in Devon there’s pretty much no where we’d rather be than on a beach anyway.

Whilst in Mexico I found a new ‘favourite’ dish called Zarandeado and as well PERFECT for camping and beach BBQ’s its delicious and healthy too.

  • One white fish of choice
  • Two large tomatoes
  • Chillies (Depends on how spicy you like your food)
  • Soy sauce
  • One red onion
  • 2 limes
  • Mayonnaise
  • Garlic
  • Coriander
  • Peppers (optional)11259318_10153446597715329_8665963554861202004_n

Cut the fish open and simply cover with the ingredients and grill! It’s simple, delicious and healthy.

After cooking our fish we turned the grill into a camp fire and made a bed on the stones. Literally sleeping under the stars was the best night sleep we had had in a long while and didn’t wake until 8am Sunday morning due to a crow squawking by the water. Apart from the odd curious dog walker it was a pretty secluded beach and I totally recommend it. We will be doing it a lot more over the summer. Maybe try canoeing to even more private beaches.
